We build the commercial layer the laboratory industry is missing

Milva was founded in 2019 by Tue Holdensen to solve a central challenge in the construction industry: the lack of insight into environmentally harmful substances and resources in existing buildings. The answer was a digital, systematic, and data-driven approach to environmental and resource mapping — making projects safer, more responsible, and more circular.

In parallel, we saw a laboratory industry competing on price-per-test and turnaround: a commodity race with no end. Our answer was Milva IO — a commercial layer giving laboratories a new basis for competition. With Milva IO at the centre, we connect CRM, client portal, sample management and billing in one system.

Labs that use Milva don't compete on price. They compete on client experience, commercial intelligence and data quality. Milva IO is the platform that makes laboratories impossible to leave — the more that is connected, the stronger the commercial position.

Today Milva has mapped more than 400,000 m² of buildings and built a database-driven knowledge base of materials in existing structures. Our ambitions reach beyond traditional environmental reports: we are working towards full digitalisation of material data, making environmental and resource mapping an integrated part of decision-making in every transformation and renovation project.
